About Office Golf

Office Golf is a free online aiming game that turns a quiet office into your own personal driving range. Armed with an umbrella for a club, you swing crumpled paper across the room and try to land it in the orange trash can sitting between your coworkers’ desks. A fan blows in the corner, so the wind pushes every shot off course, and you have to aim carefully to make up for it.

Each shot is a small gamble. A clean throw into the can scores points, but a wild one can hit a hard-working employee and cost you a penalty, while clipping a slacking coworker can earn a big bonus. The round ends when you run out of paper, so every throw counts toward your final score.

Aiming and Timing

A swinging arrow moves across a fan-shaped gauge in front of your character, and tapping at the right moment decides the direction of your shot. A hint on screen reminds you to tap when you want to hit, so timing the swing against the arrow is the heart of every throw. A small wind arrow and distance counter beside the fan show how strongly and from which side the breeze is pushing, which changes how far to adjust your aim.

Scoring and Penalties

After each throw, the game rates your shot as Nice, Great, or Miss, and awards points to match. Landing paper in the can scores a solid 100 or more, while a Miss costs you points, especially if the paper strikes a diligent worker who then glares at you. At the end of a round, a score sheet lists your total, your best result, and how many Great, Nice, and Miss shots you made.

Bonuses and Helpers

Now and then a Lucky Bonus appears, such as a canned coffee that turns your next shot into an empty can worth bonus points. Three helper buttons along the bottom let you slow the action down to aim more easily, swap in a larger trash can, or switch off the circulator so the wind stops pushing your paper around. Using these helpers requires watching a short ad, so it pays to save them for the shots that matter most.

Tips for Higher Scores

  • Watch the wind arrow before each swing and aim slightly against it so the breeze carries the paper toward the can.
  • Wait for the arrow to settle near the center of the gauge instead of tapping early, since a straight shot flies cleanest.
  • Use Slow Motion on your last few papers, when one lucky bonus can lift your final score.
  • Take a moment to check where the busy workers sit, because hitting one costs points while a distracted coworker can be worth extra.
